My years at HSU changed my life and are greatly responsible for the sucess I have had in my life. Not only did my years at HSU prepare me academically, but also as a christian. It developed my character in so many ways. I am still using the experiences I gleemed there in my profession, home life, and my church involvement. The standards there help young people to navigate thier way into adulthood without many of the pit falls that plague students who attend secular schools. It was a good balance of academics and "good, clean" fun. At the time I turned down full scholarships at state schools to attend HSU. Once I walked onto that campus I knew this is where God wanted me to be. After many years later I am more sure of that decision than ever. As my own children consider thier future they are looking to say yeeeha! —Go Cowboys! Most of all they too would like to attend a university that has strong academics that stills proclaims God as Lord—HSU is one of those special places. I am so thankful for my years there and am still reaping the benefits.
