People pretending to be nice that work there when they aren't. A lot of professors have unrealistic expectations of students and students can be ignorant and catty. I agree with other reviews about the drugs and alcohol. UMaine Orono's slogan should be "UMaine let us take a "stab" at your future! We have a METH-od to help you take a CRACK at life! Come DRINK in the environment and find yourself DRUNK with excitment". LOL PS Also the school obviously plays favorites with it's token students, prep kids, and certain others that the professors like while holding back a lot of others students they don't want to succeed (of course they will take their money just the same). If it wasn't for Fin Aid Loans & Scholarships that little town would dry up ASAP. Anyway, I regret going there, I'm even more affraid of that place after the brutal stabbing at Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, rapes that I've heard about, and extremely excessive drinking that goes on. Someone posted on here that you get out of the place what you put into it but that place seems to drink people dry emotionally and financially. I would rather go to an out of state college where I'm going to get a better experience and education for my investment… Otherwise it's like throwing money into a trash can full of alcoholics. |
