However, shortly after starting at Bethel I realized that this was not what college was supposed to be. The town of McKenzie is super small and there is nothing to do unless you drive an hour away. There is also nothing to do on campus because the campus is so small. The food in the cafeteria is almost never worth eating. However, if you do not like the food in the cafeteria then there is no other option on campus except one small place to eat where the food is not that much better. The campus of Bethel feels just like high school. This is because all the students are divided into clicks. You must either be on a sports team or be in the choir or in the drama or it will be harder to make friends. The school is also filled with all kinds of drama due to the fact that it is such a small school and everyone knows everyone else. There are also not very many majors offered outside of education or nursing. The class work is not very hard and alot of the classes are not even accredited with the state. If you have a choice then you should not go to Bethel. If you want to get the full college experience then you should not go to Bethel. |
