Student housing offers a more traditional college experience despite the small size of the campus. The music and science programs are pretty good here. If you want to study Piano, this is a good option because of the Toradze studio. As for my major I feel the professors do what they can with the resources they are given. The university does not have a lot of impressive equipment you can use, but the availability of internships through the school is nice. FOX 28, WSBT, My Michiana TV, and WNIT all have worked with the school pretty well. This is one way you can get some more experience using actual equipment. The school is also beginning to remodel some buildings to make them more attractive/modern. I know being a small campus is their selling point, but I would like to see IUSB expand slightly. If you want a big campus and extremely vibrant social events go else where. If your concerned about a good education, with some really great faculty go here. The price is also really nice for what you are getting, even if you are out of state. I went to Bloomington and transfered here because I didnt like the large class sizes and I felt like it was just being pushed along. It is all about your learning style really. It is all the same academics and degree, just a different setting. |
