St. Johns does not care AT ALL about students and their thoughts. To them the only important thing is recruiting freshman, which is the only thing they do well. From the public safety with stricter rules than my own mother to the over priced food service (which isn't at all good), to the building which are constantly falling apart this school is a waste. The worst part is that the professors are HORRIBLE. I expect that my degree will be laughed at by any real job when I get into the work force. I am a junior and haven't learned anything from the school. I have had NOT ONE professor who has stood out to be an excellent professor, yet i can name two or three PER SEMESTER who either don't speak English or cannot put five words together to make a coherent sentence. I honestly learned more from the community college I attended before coming here. This school lies to students to get them to come. I was so excited to come here after taking a tour I wish I knew then what I knew now. This school advertises its pride in Greek Life, yet is trying to take them off campus. This school prides itself in being a technologically advanced campus - giving every new incoming freshman a new laptop - yet they are terrible laptops that will fail you when you need them most. The fitness center is too small for the number of students who attempt to use it daily, yet they didn't seem to leave room for a new one in the new DeAngelo Center. Overall I am so disappointed with this school. Public Safety doesn't care about students at all. They just want to babysit and give out violations. They drive all over campus on walkways that are definitely not meant to be driven on (and they damage the cobblestone all the time) just because they are too lazy to walk. They block the walkways from students and more importantly students in wheel chairs. The student dorms are built sloppily and without a real understand that people will actually be LIVING in them (and that the plumbing must work). Honestly the only good things I can say about it is that it has a very diverse student body, they offer free laundry, and when a shooter decides to come to campus with a gun we are all notified in a timely manner.
