I studied Environmental Chemistry. I'm not sure if they even offer it anymore. The intro classes (which BTW are THE most important for foundational learning in your major…so PAY ATTENTION!) were the hardest because it was a lot of the standard lecturing and less class participation. Once I got through the first year…and Organic Chemistry the second year…the rest was SO much fun!

The teachers are engaging and most really enjoy class discussions. If you have an interest in Native American literature, there's a class for it. If you want to get your history credit learning about the history of protesting in America…there's a class for that too. Of course, I had some classes that were a bit dull (microeconomics), but if you balance the interesting classes with the mundane ones you NEED to take…it's all good.

Night Life: If you can find the right people, there is NO need to feel like you have to party. Sure I went to frat and house parties a few times, but a majority of my non-academic time was spend exploring Keene, hiking Mt Monadnock, biking, hanging out at the local coffee shop, and (of course) the Student Center. I spent more time at the student center than in my own room. Movies, comedy night, free games, soda and popcorn at the NOC..there's A LOT to do if you're not too lazy.

Dining Hall and the 'Hoot and Scoot': The food leaves a bit to be desired. They opened up the new dining hall my last year and it was okay…but I did miss how easy it once was to get a sandwich wrap. A lot of the menu was the same (chicken patty Wednesday..What!!), so I can't complain too much.

Last but not least; housing.

I lived in Randall, Keddy, and Owls Nest. I was lucky to get a normal triple in Randall, but have seen the forced triples…It's really not THAT bad unless you bring a ton of junk to school. Keddy was not a typical dorm (it is the 36 person leadership housing). Nice doubles and if you do a leadership project each year, you are guaranteed a really good sized room! Owls Nest was outdated (apparently it was supposed to be temporary housing, obviously not) but comfortable. Other than showers getting clogged every now and again and loud people on the weekends, the housing was fine.

And that ends my review! Go to KSC!!! :)
