03/20/2010 FYI, if you want to come here for the Automotive Restoration, you should know that the school talks up there program, heavily, to gain your enrollment. I will try to give you an honest evaluation of the school from a student prospective. The facilities are decent, but not cutting edge. The classes provide "not enough" coverage in any one area to gain a decent level of experience. I know many people who graduated here and could not find a job because of their lack of experiece. The shop is virtually off limits to students "after hours" because it is so overcrowded. I was excited upon coming to this school, but after two semesters, I was disapointed in my experience here. I will not be returning for the next fall. McPherson as a college town…well its not a good college town. Its a great place to raise a family, and a quite place to retire, but there is nothing going on here. The whole town, execpt for wal-mart and Mcdonalds, shuts down at 10:00. There are 3 bars in McPherson… This is also a dry campus, so not much drinking can take place here.Another thing worth mentioning about the college is the domanice of the male population. The female to male ratio is 3:1, 3 guys to 1 girl. This was very displeasing to me. |
