Undergrads be weary! If you want to be respected by your Profs. and peers SUNY ESF might not be the place for you. The same can be said if you expect to be gainfully employed after your time there. I have found that although most of the Profs are approachable they do not play well with others. They are judgmental and reluctant to form any sort of bond with the majority of their students especially depending on ones major. Of course there are exceptions to this rule. The academic rigor of the school can also make students be cut-throat at times. Choose your friends wisely…you will certainly need them for study groups! I cannot say that I am happy that I spent two years at SUNY ESF earning what turns out to be an unmarketable degree. I can happily say that I will never have to go through it again! |
