Whether or not Morehouse is the right institution for you depends on your character, intellectual capacity and readiness to compete in a competitive environment. Firstly, to even be admitted to the institution, your credentials must exemplify your ability to succeed at Morehouse. Typically, students with a 3.0 gpa (B average) in high school and average/above average SAT scores are extended offers of admission.

Secondly, once admitted, each student is expected to invest a great deal of his time into his courses. Classes are rigorous and professors are demanding. Many students claim that some divisions within the school are harder than others. This may be the case, but all students are required to take the same core requirement classes (typically taken during freshmen and sophomore years) and they even tend to be intense. Due to the intensity of these courses, most determined Morehouse students commit their weekdays to studying and extra curricular activities and everything else for the weekends.

Now.. you may or may not know that Morehouse is located in Atlanta, Ga. Being a college student in Atlanta has its advantages and disadvantages. Some of the advantages are that their are always networking opportunities, jobs available, places to shop and eat and the housing is cheap. Actually, the only disadvantage that I can think of is that Atlanta can be a distraction. There are so many clubs and house parties! Since there are many celebrities that live in Atlanta, many students make it a priority to attend events where they expect to mingle with the them. With that being said, it is imperative that Morehouse guys remain ambitious and stay in tune with their goals, and resist the temptation that accompanies living in ATL.

In conclusion, If you aspire to be a Morehouse student you are already moving in the right direction. Even though it comes with a high price tage ($38,000+), I am confident that my education is second to NONE and It will pay off tend fold upon graduation. I'm just a rising junior, and I already feel as though I'll be well prepared for law school. If you're looking for a historic, small, competitive, high-ranking, and internationally respected institution to earn your degree.. Morehouse is the place for you.

Continued Success!
