I never had a problem with the helpfulness of the staff until this spring semester (2010). Then again, I never asked for help until this semester. But anyway, I went through hell and back to get them to work on my financial aid, transcripts for the air force, and academic advising. I went to the advising office, only to be told they do not SPEAK to existing students, that I should see the individual departments for help on whether I should take their classes. I signed up for loans for the first time this semester and they were a month late, which almost caused me to be dropped from the classes. A co-worker and I were in the same situation for the summer semester trying to find out whether or not our loans were in so we could sign up for classes and all they could tell us was "We're working on it… it will be done shortly." Helpful… really… Also, when I went to pick up my books, the bookstore was BEYOND rude and arrogant and said my loans weren't in for books, yet, that I had to sign a form in order for them to be ready. I signed the form, and nobody told me it would be 24-48 hours before they would be able to run it through the system. I found out the hard way, by going to the bookstore and them telling me I STILL couldn't get my books (after TWO one-and-a-half-hour waits in line). Finally, THREE days later, they let me know I was through the system… 24-48 hours my butt! |
