However, the school, on a whole, is improving to the point where many of the weak points are starting to turn in much better directions. This is a fantastic university, especially for those who look to an education as a way of learning, and not just a way to get to the next level. This is particularly true for the engineering school, which is seeing a growth in the number of applicants, the average SAT score, and the number of faculty. Although the university is planning on expanding the number of engineering students attending, the student to teacher ratio is expected to stay the same thanks to the university taking time to select new professors. This school has abundant activities, over 350 student organizations to choose from. There is a program that grants FREE tickets to arts events in the city, and not cheap ones at that. Often you'll find yourself sitting in a seat at the symphony that you would have paid $35 for, plus they provide cake and sometimes dinner.Pitt is headed in a positive direction, and I am proud to be a member of this community. I am learning more, and becoming more than i thought would be possible. I love my school, I love its atmosphere. There was NO better school for me out there. Hail to Pitt. |
