Since being at Agnes, I have become more involved academically and within my community. I do not believe I could have received an education like this from a larger co-ed school. Through attending Agnes Scott, I have learned that I have it within me to set and achieve real goals. I have joined on-campus organizations, volunteered far more often within in my community and most recently taken a unique and rather prestigious internship. The fact is that outside of the school you also have all of Atlanta at your fingertips to pursue socially. I haven't had one weekend my three years in the city where there haven't been a million parties, events, festivals, shenanigans, etc. to attend. I, personally, have found a type of sisterhood at the school. Being able to wave, acknowledge and reference the people you've become close with on campus in conversations has been one of the most rewarding parts of my entire Agnes experience. The campus is competitive, brimming with motivation and ambition. I speak from my own experience when I say that the school lit a fire under my butt and thank god. Because of it, I found someone within myself who is more than capable of achieving along with the rest of my class. Once you surrender yourself to the campus, the people and the city, the school becomes a home where you can be a big fish in a little pond with other great big fish. |
