Beware: Florence is a small town full of old, self-righteous Christians. There is nothing to do there, and you can't get a beer on Sundays. That said, if your only goal is to get your degree and not be distracted, UNA is in the perfect location for you. Like most schools, the Greeks here think that being Greek raises your social status and makes you a generally more valuable member of the student body. What they don't realize is that watching Greeks makes non-Greeks want to stay that way. They all dress and talk the same. They have no personality, but apparently that's what's "cool".the Biology program is not proactive enough, in my opinion. I would like to see some profiles on the department homepage of UNA bio grads, how far they went in school, and what they're doing now. In the department, it's veryevery man for himselfYou might get some help if you bug the faculty long enough.Overall, I rate my experience at UNA so far to be neutral. There are positives, there are negatives. I just can't wait to get my degree and get out of here. |
