General things to consider when applying: much like other colleges, there is an alcohol problem on campus. Keep in mind, this is from the perspective of a student who has only been on campus for a short time, as well as from the perspective of a student who does not engage in alcohol or drug use. However, everybody is nice and pleasant here, and does not look down on me for making my decision. That being said though, there is not a lot to do on a weekday or even weekend night if you wish to stay away from the party scene. You'll read that there's drinking at every college, and while it is possible, I am here to tell you everything that the tour guides will not. While yes, there is an abundance of very intelligent people and academically challenging classes here, do not think for a moment that this will mean that they are not involved in these underground late-night activities. This is merely something to be considered when making your decision, and I highly recommend an overnight stay to test if the social scene is something you are interested in. |
