It was a bumpy start though - I was homesick during my first quarter and it affected my grades. The college however worked with me and I brought my grades up. I had wonderful professors - with one exception ("Ripper"). I liked all of my classmates but one and amazingly I did not see her every day - even when we lived in the same dorm! (And I'm happy to report that she does not attend the reunions!) The Dean of the College and the Dean of Students were amazing women. Agnes Scott Hall and Rebekkah Scott Hall were remodeled during my sophmore year, so I lived in newly-remodeled dorms during my junior and senior years. I studied hard and if I wanted to play, there were plenty of opportunities. One thing no one has mentioned - SHOPPING! I live in Florida and when I go back every 5 years for reunion weekend, I make sure I have time to visit Lenox and Phipps. College is what you make of it. I enjoyed my time at ASC. |
