Adrian College is a school compromised of the following type of students: hockey players, football players, and everyone else. This is the type of school that will let in anyone who plays a sport and sets the academic standard higher for those who do not, so that we feel we are getting into a school that is some what "prestigious" at our Matriculation ceremony the Dean of Admissions went on a rampage about how selective they were this year. I am a freshmen and I am tutoring seniors in English. Students who do not know what an adjective is, that is the student body at AC. The athletes get away with everything, including rape. The hockey house is known for "not letting you out until you get f-"

It is not that I do not partake in partying, I do. I consider myself to be extremely social, however my idea of a good time does not involve creepy hockey players. The only thing to do on campus any given night is drink in dorms. Which don't worry, you will not get in trouble. Campus security is a joke unless you are caught with weed. Literally my first days on campus kids were caught with fifths in their hands and heads were turned. Which is great if you don't want any trouble. However, it is amusing that the school made it seem like they had a zero-tolerance policy.

Classwork wise do not expect a challenge of any sort, unless you take a language. I am not in freshmen classes and I feel underwhelmed. In my political science classes the faculty is comprised of pig-headed conservatives who bash any ideas of liberal sort. The students are far from open-minded. I would guess 1% of the campus is liberal, and those who claim to be Democrats lean more towards the conservative side.

Do not bring up abortion, gay rights, or immigration at this school.

The school has no eco-standards, no recycling program, they use trays in the lunch room which is a huge waste of water.

If you are looking to get super involved don't go here. The clubs are very few, and they aren't good about meeting regularly or getting involved with the exception of a few.

If you don't want to become Greek this isn't the school for you either, Greek trumps all here. But don't worry, you have a few choices. You can be a rupee whore or in the social outcast sorority.

If you are hoping to have a diverse student population this isn't the place for you. I only came because I wanted a small school transition. Save yourself the transfer hassle, go to a better liberal arts school.

"Your path to transferring" should be Adrian's motto.
