Statistical Analyzer:

I attended Oswego from 2004-2008. I was an education major and I did not care for the department. There are some really good professors who really have a passion for creating enthusiastic, smart and creative educators. Then there are some who will treat you like an idiot and try to smash all the creativity that you have. It just so happened that the bad professors out weighed the good. When you get into higher level classes be prepares for 4 semesters of teachers telling you that because you are white you are a racist, and there is not telling them otherwise. Overall the education department makes you jump through hoops. It is like they want you to fail.

I love to social life here. I was an RA for 2 years so I was not always involved with the partying scene. There are a lot of things to do on campus or in town, you just have to look for them. If you like to drink and party, you really do not have to seek out entertainment…it will just find you.

I think the campus is ugly! But the inside of some of the recidence halls are really nice. Of course the new campus center is really nice.

Overall, I love the expereince I had at Oswego. I made the best friends in the world and had a memorable 4 years. I just wish the Edu department would get their acts together and hire some more professors who give a darn!
