I took database program (oracle certification stream). The teacher claims to be a former dba but only reads the book to the class. If asked for explanation, he gets irritated and tries to insult student without knowing their background and understanding that this course is taken to enhance job prospect and not to gain just another certificate. The teacher was well backed by the dean who himself does not know how to respect adult student. The school appears to be under the impression that once a student gets Ontario loan (OSAP) they will not quit the program (But I did quit and still paying the loan). The bottom line is that if certification course means reading books and copying software to student and providing downloaded exam question—then I will say why hell someone needs to pay 15k+ for the program and a school, instead books can be bought and read at someone's own (I believe novice student don't go for DBA course to get a job as a dba) |
