Statistical Analyzer:

Montclair State has its good points and bad points.

The housing department is absoulotley horrible, they are disorganized and lazy. Signing someone in every time they visit your residence hall and withholding the drivers liscence of your guest is ridiculous. The building need far more singles as everyone wants to live in the village because of the singles and the university somehow cannot comprehend why everyone only wants to live in the village. You cannot eat anywhere on campus unless you have flex dollars which go quickly. You have to use your blocks and your shit out of luck if you want to eat somewhere after eight using blacks except for an eatery in the basement of the student center called "the rat" (sounds scrumptious, huh?) which only serves greasy fried food. And even that is only open until two o'clock am. For some unknown reason they have people serve food at blanton which is a big mistake, they is no reason that they should have a job serving food because freeman runs fine without anyone serving food. It is awkward and they act like they are doing you a favor when they serve you and wont give you two of anything. These ex cons do not deserve to be on the university payroll. All in all housing is a nightmare and the food plan is confusing and needs to be fixed.

Now for the academics, they are not so bad, university hall is nice, the lecture halls are beautiful and the professors usually have pretty lax attendance polices. The classrooms in Mallory Hall and Dickson Hall however are sub par and the art building a disgusting mess. The professors are somewhat helpful but often foreign and therefore hard to understand. Most of the professors I have had graduated from Columbia University and I will definitely brag about the education I received here when I graduate.

I only wish the university would hire a more efficient staff for housing and have more singles, change the meal plans, and renovate some of the more ugly buildings to match buildings like university hall. Oh and the library definitely needs to be open on weekends more, after all, it is a university, we come to study. How can we study if the library is closed????
