People dress rather preppy here and expect you to. Most people look down upon you for not dressing the same way. As an out-of-state student (I hail from CT) I expected moresouthern hospitality.Anyways, I am in the aviation program, and I find it to be poorly run. At any given time 5-6 aircraft will be grounded due to maintainence issues, and all of the other ones have nonessential malfunctioning equipment. The operations are run out of a trailer. To say the least I am displeased with the aviation program here. On another note, the night life is run by frats. If you arent able to entertain yourself, I would suggest a frat. Girls are hit or miss, lots of good lookers, some of them are nice others are not. I hate to generalize, but guys tend to be arrogant. Overall, if you are not from the southeast expect this: Preppy people, good nightlife (for frats), great football, a crappy aviation program, and a tough curriculum. And my biggest pet peeve: My calc teacher does not speak english, nor does anybody else's from what I have gathered. |
