I'll give a more detailed review after I graduate. But I can tell you about the general University. Loma Linda University and Loma Linda Medical Center is a Seventh Day Adventist organization. It's mission is to provide medical care and train health care professionals. Students here have the opportunity to learn in the hospital and other health centers in the area.Student housing wise, there are dorms and apartments. I think most people live off campus though. There isn't much in the city, but it's close to bigger cities. You will find that it's somewhat religious here. Food is vegetarian in the hospital caf. If you live on campus, some TV channels are blocked. And the post office closes on Sat, but opens on Sun. You will most likely be required to take a religion course and attend church once a week. There are opportunities for church related activities such as bible study and field trips.Overall, most people are focused on school and not much else. |
