After trying to get some type of legitimate help for the past two years, I have given up. The director is condescending and not helpful in any way. He should not be in that position because he obviously cannot understand what a disability is. Each semester, they want you to go in for a meeting, reestablish the fact that you do have a disability (even if it's permanent)by taking tests which cost $1000s and then bring papers around to each professor and have them sign it, then bring it back to the office. After running you in circles, the most they offer is longer time on tests (which would not help me with my disability) or testing in a private room. My previous school had a much better system and were able to accommodate me and listened when I described my problems, rather than coating over them with a single fix-all for anything from ADHD to TBI. Do not go to this school if you have a disability and need help. You will not get any. |
