I spent three semesters there - and well, that was all I could take. The academics there, depending on what department you're in varies from ridiculously easy to moderately challenging. The Business and Hotel & Restaurant Management programs seem to be a hit with students as well as the Foresty and Art/Music program. The sciences, mathematics, education programs (ect) aren't such a huge hit with the students. My personal (keyword, personal) experiences with ResLife/FinAid/Bursar faculty was unplesant. Some students were/are living in designated study-lounges; Fin-Aid never replied to my inquries; and the Bursar workers - well - they were rude, snotty, unhelpful (and it seemed to me some of them had no idea what they were doing). Aside from all these negative things, the student body is super diverse. I think that's perhaps what made my short time there an exciting experience. Students are some-what friendly. FOOD SUCKS! And as far as the social scene in Flagstaff is concerned, it'll definitely take some getting used to. Give Flagstaff a semester or two - it WILL grow on you. |
