Wow! What a nightmare this school is! I enrolled as a second undergrad degree student in order to change careers thinking this would be a relatively cheap way to do so. While the tuition is reasonable, the quality of teaching is horrendous.

Often, my professors did not have a lesson plan and read to the class directly from a textbook. Not only are the professors poor teachers, many of them actually want their students to fail and go out their way to make life as difficult as possible. I did very well academically- not because of the teaching at this school, but in spite of it.
Overall, CSI has a very agressive and hostile atmosphere to it. Many Professors are contemptous of thier students for no apparent reason and speak to them as if they are garbage. There seems to be a presumption on the part of the faculty that if you attend this school, you must be a working class slob from the gutter who has no other career or educational alternatives. Likewise, many of the women working in the administrative offices are menopausal, deranged Staten Island houswives and exceptionally unpleasant to deal it. Between the professors and the staff, you really get the sense that no one at this campus really cares about the well being or future of the students at all. Many students are dissatisfied with how they are treated at this school, but are afraid to give voice to their experiences for fear of retailtion.

As far as career prospects go, don't be surprised if your CSI degree isn't worth much. There is no networking, no mentoring and career services is a joke—forget about finding a quality internship through this school or for that matter, a decent job after graduation. The school's poor reputation will ensure a dismal future for you.
While the tuition is a bargain compared to nearby colleges, in the end, you get what you pay for.
