The campus is very beautiful, with a large quad and the rest filled with trees. The city of Atlanta is fun with a number of attractions/neighborhoods/restaurants to explore (not to mention the various sports teams to provide entertainment). The classes are not very hard though. If you actually apply yourself with the readings and papers and consistently show up, then you will learn A LOT. I personally like all the various departments and never have had a problem with paperwork. The school is so small that things run a lot more efficiently. The financial aid office also works very hard to help you out when needed. Classes rarely fill up so registration isn't such a pain. Socially, however, things are a bit lame. We have parties every Friday at one of the frats, which are generally open to anyone who wants to attend. People drink a lot of alcohol/smoke weed on campus but its limited to Friday nights mostly. I also like how Oglethorpe treats you like an adult. Guests can come over any time of day/night. after freshmen year, rooms are not segregated by gender. You have so much freedom to do as you please. You also have the option to form your own major. But, people here are too apathetic and its frustrating at times. |
