Statistical Analyzer:

Fitchburg is said to be such an unsafe campus in the ghetoo. This is not true.. Yes FSU is in a small city, but the campus is very compact and in its own area. I have lived here for over a year and I have NEVER seen anyone who doesnt go to school here walk through or on the campus, you do not have to worry about being jumped mugged shot or stabbed or any of that dumb stuff that people say. There arent stabbings, shootings or any of that on or even near the campus. Its all oF bunch of BS. People like to say that those things happen to make it seem like they are so brave and courageous for going to such a dangerous school. Truth is, it is a lot more dangerous going to school in Boston, NY or Providence than Fitchburg. The campus is beautiful in the summer and spring, there are beautiful trees and ivy anywhere. In my and most peoples opinion, it has the nicest campus of all of the state schools in mass. The school is big on pride which is why there are Fitchburg State banners and imprinted sidewalks lining the whole campus. Bridgewater, Salem, Westfield and Framingham dont have nice sidewalks, roads or any visible school spiritg like Fitchburg has. And everyday they work to improve North Street, attempting to make it the "gateway" of FSU, which they are doing a good job with. All in all, the school cares about how it looks, which is unique for a state school, you can truly see where your money goes. The classrooms are all really nice, the library is beautiful, same with the dining hall. Eaverything is updated and modern, except for one dorm building, the freshman one.. but even that one is not too bad for a state school freshman building. Fitchburg is worth the money and really isnt as dangerous as people make it out to be. Obviously if you walk outside alone at 3am into downtown fitchburg, or into the alleys thats I have yet to see, that you could run into trouble. But just dont do that. FSU is great… come give it a chance… The best of all of the state schools
