If you take the Early Childhood Education classes, be prepared for NO FLEXIBILITY in the classes offered. The classes for ECE are ONLY offered at night in the Portsmouth campus, which means that if you have a day job, you will be up late until about 11 pm.Then, for some classes, such a s the assessment class, you are expected to do observations of children in school, which is during the day, which conflicts with your job.The hand book given to prospective students does not mention this, and the people trying to get you to sign up for this college know very little and do not tell you this part. They only mention your field studies, which will be at the very end of your education. And about those field studies, you better pay attention to your class schedule because if you don't save some Gen Ed classes for the field studies, you will have to pay out of pocket for them. Another thing that the hand book and staff fail to tell you. Also, Many classes are offered only once in a calendar year. Not to flexible, huh? And if the classes are not very full, they will cancel them last minute. Also, this info is not on their web site either. |
