FIRST AND FOREMOST - this university LIES about their crime statistics. Gannon is in a dangerous area…while I was there, we had many shootings and robberies, two bombs found near the courthouse, and several 'suspicious persons' harassing students. I never felt safe here; I kept pepper spray with me all the time and campus police doesn't do a lot to help with safety. Everything else about Gannon sucks…food, extracurriculars, etc. If you aren't an athlete or involved in Greek life, you have nothing to do. Not a lot of extra activities are offered and everyone is too terrified to go out at night because you'll get followed, harassed, etc. Staff are self-absorbed and more interested in themselves than helping students. They act like you're a burden to them when YOUR $35k is going towards their salary.I'm so glad I left…Now I go to a school with only 1500 students and there are STILL more things to do, on campus and off, than in the city. |
