If you enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and skiing/snowboarding, you'll love it here. There isn't much of a nightlife for those who are underage. It's convenient because it is within a days drive of lots of national parks, california, and mexico! Winters are long, cold and windy and there is lots of snow. After 4 years, I will be ready to leave. The Business program is awesome and has loads of resources. However, all the other colleges fail in comparison. My major (political science) was part of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The advising center was terrible and the equipment and classrooms were outdated. There are many dorms on campus and many apartments nearby. But somehow there just don't seem to be enough to accommodate everyone. Apartments are way overpriced, and living expenses are high in general in Flagstaff.Overall, I was disappointed with my education at NAU although my experiences there were great. I felt that the fees were excessive and didn't come back around to serve the students. My advising center was near useless and professors just barely adequate (with the exception of the business college-they were great). |
