After California natives themselves, Seattlites represent the majority of the student population. The campus is beautiful and the people are very friendly and laid-back. I found the course work to be much less difficult than in high school and I ended up with way too much free time. You will find this is the case with most students and, thus, they donate a much higher percentage of time to socializing/partying. San Francisco and Santa Cruz are very close, but inconvenient to get to and people rarely pay them a visit. In general, I have been extremely bored here. The kids are nice, but not all that interesting. The campus is pretty, but there isn't much to do. The academics are well-respected, but not challenging. In general, I have a neutral and "blah" opinion of the school. I have no found the students to be arrogant or snooty and most are very open-minded. Although the Greek life is not associated with the university, it has a huge presence and I would definitely recommend joining. |
