I am about to graduate and have loved it for the most part. To all of the complainers about not being able to drink here is a piece of knowledge: Open the Student Handbook.Alcohol is probitted on campus or at campus sponsored events. In narrowed minded idiot talk that means you can drink at home and not at Campbell. To all the complainers about not having a social life at Campbell: Are you blind, or deaf? There was atleast one social activity every week thanks to Campus Activities Board, plus tons of sporting events that usually brought out free pizza, or shirts. Not to mention the theatre department productions, Fall and Spring Concerts, and lets not forget all the Christian Rallies. To all the anti-religion folks that came to CU: Did you not come to orietation? Did you not understand that we are a high standing university within the Southern Baptist Community? As a private school we are allowed to force classes on students no matter what. I will agree that they should have been more diverse in their relgious curriculm. Finally to all the complainers about the 'middle of no where' concept of CU: Mapquest anyone? When all students come for the first visit and orientation they are told what is in the area and what is not. Reality should have hit you then.I will say this: Campbell is more focused on their health sciences programs then anything else. I am a Social Work major and even though Social Work, and Teaching jobs are in demand we are cramped in one floor with Psychology with no promises of expansion for us. Justice anyone? So in conclusion here is a perspective: Are you going to college to be a party animal with alcohol poisoning? or to get a degree to make something of yourself? The truth of the matter is I am thankful to have a University that cares so much about me and my well-being that they would make rules to protect me. |
