BCU greeks were the highlight of the campus, they mostly hang out in the quad/yard during the day, and they make any function great ! i loved the greeks, although the AKA's were very quiet and small on campus, which was a surprise to me, however things may have changed. there are a few other small opganizations on campus like dance teams, and choir. 2) VISIT THE CAMPUS: BCU campus is not very big, the front part of the campus ( the part you see in the brouchure) is very nice. but behind that you see the not so nice buildings and landscaping, even though overall it ws not terrible, it may not be what you are expecting. the cafe is small and has select hours you may eat, it closes at 7pm, and the only other thing to eat is checkers and bethune grill (if you dont have a car) so grocery shopping is a must!3) TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS: the financial aid experience will drive you crazy if you dont have everything in place by registration day. it took 4 months to release my financial aid.also take the palcment test very seriously! if you score poorly you will have an entire schedule full of college prep classes(which you DO NOT recieve credit for) and the school is very expensive if you have to pay an entire year for prep classes. MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING YOUR MONIES WORTH WHEN IT COMES TO CLASS SELECTION4)GO IN WITH AN OPEN MIND: every single university and college has its ups and downs but at the end of the day, its all what you make it,i left BCU but i have friends who are very happy to stay. if you are in the band, cheerleading squad, SGA, or greek life ,Or in the nursing ,business program i would reccomend BCU. if not, you may find yourself bored after the first few weeks. |
