I've been a stay home parent for about 10 years. I wish I had stayed active in the work force at least part-time. Presently looking for a job and due to state of economy and my out of the work force for so long is very hard to get employed regardless of my Cornell degree and past experience. I recommend any young student to learn a trade as well as going to college. I'm a hairstylist by trade and it's been my mainstay lately, just like it did back when attending college.
