Mills was a good choice as a transfer institution. Small class sizes, rigorous coursework in the math department, and faculty availability were all good experiences. Even so, Mills has a problem integrating transfer students to its on campus community; I always felt a high level of anomie there.

Moreover, classes are really hit and miss. I had super rigorous, challenging and great experiences in Linear Algebra. On the other hand I had a microeconomics course where the teacher told personal stories, graded by dartboard and missed 30% of lectures. Given the opportunity I would not go to Mills again - I would choose an institution with a more consistent quality across courses, more opportunity for extracurricular activity, and better social opportunities.
