I just finished up my 3rd year at APU. I can honestly say I grown so much since my freshmen year. APU wants to foster community of Christians who can learn, grow, and mature in a way that will enable students to work in secular world. With that said, your time at APU is meant to be a training ground within a Christian community so you know that you are not alone when facing an anti-christian world. Being from a non-Christian background, the relationships i have built from friends and faculty members has encouraged me to continue my walk with God even I go home to where no one is a Christian. I am reading comments about the mistake and hypocrisy of the students and teachers. Well, APU is a Christian university full of flawed, messed up people. Of course you are going to have people say one thing, and end up screwing up. That's human nature, but the hearts of APU student and faculty are good. People are striving to live a Christ-honoring life while getting their education. School is only one of the reason why student choose to come here. There's something unique different about being in a body of believers that enables strength in your own faith. APU is great place to grow in your walk with God and challenge yourself. They provide numerous opportunities for you to plug into different club/orgs on campus, but part of the work is up to you as well. Your time in college is a time of growth. Read APU mission statement and if you feel that it aligns with what you want to strive for, come here, you wont be disappointed. Just know that you might have to put in a little extra effort sometimes and things may not go as planned. But there are enough good, loving, and caring students and staff members who want to invest in you. Sometimes, you have to take the first step of initiating.
