Buyer beware: the academics and staff here are excellent, but if you plan on living on campus, think again. Football players run the school, and the dorms are filled with arrogant, loud, and obnoxious students who are quite judgmental. Not approachable at all. This isn't me being bitter either, I made friends, even some friends I'd consider close at this point, but you can ask anyone who goes to Scholastica; much of the student body is filled with straight up tools. I would recommend UMD down the street. Cheaper, more opportunities, and EVERYONE is approachable. Even the football team, who are two time National Champions, are generally friendly. Much more lax atmosphere, and you won't feel like it's high school all over again like you do at Scholastica. It makes me sick to think of living in the dorms. Like I said though, the academics here are quite good, especially the Nursing program. If you are trying to become an RN, you'd be hard pressed to find a better school in Minnesota. |
