Although I managed three minors, and was working on my second major I was asked to leave. My problems and I think for many were centered on a view I still hold, if you dissent you are a ?D? student, but if you acquiesce you are an ?A? student. If you?re willing to acquiescence you?ll do fine at UST. In my view, there are three categorical imperatives at UST, write what they tell you to write, say what they tell you to say, and ultimately, if they?re successful, you will think what they tell you to think. It wasn?t as harsh as Orwell?s two plus two equals five, but pretty close. In life I frequently ask myself, if I could go back and do it again, would I choose that option again… Although I graduated there, I would unequivocally not go back to UST for any reason. Jamming that two plus two in your mind is certainly not for me. |
