In the first hour of my first day in college I was faced with quadratics, things I learned in middle school. Not only that but being presented to college students in the same form as I received 5 years prior. The science professor I have not only told us numerous times that she wasn't prepared to teach the class but was also doing a fine job of supporting herself. Lastly my english teacher, questioned if my fellow students and I knew how to use Google and Wikipedia. The students are unapproachable and take little to no interest in school and would be much happier to sit and text throughout the entire class, detracting from the atmosphere. Many girls are either pregnant or have already given birth to children. Overall it is not the college experience many people seek. |
