Some student's just don't have good experiences at KU but that can happen at any college!! I'll try to point out the good and bad aspects of KU. Kutztown University is idealistic. Yes there are farm lands and Amish people but there is also Main Street! Main Street is the place to be. On either side of it, there is food, groceries, apartments for students, stores, or tattoo shops. Its a college town. We also have Sheetz and a Walmart 15 minutes in either direction. There is a flea market with Amish cooking which is delicious as well as BK and Arby's and etc. I see KU as idealistic because there is a beautiful nature side as well as a college town side. KU was once perceived as a party school and only the dumb kids went there. However, KU has raised the SAT scores needed to get in. The faculty is much better and the colleges themselves have improved immensly. KU is still considered a party school but hey, what college isn't? The work is not easy! College isn't supposed to be anyway. Some majors are harder then others at KU as well. The food has gone downhill, except the deserts! Other than that, the campus is beautiful, the dorms have improved, it is VERY SAFE, and friendly. Hopefully this helps. |
