This place has made my life better and I have made some lifelong friends here. This is a small college in a small town. If you want to go to a big school were you can hide in the back of the class, this is not the place for you. If you want to party your college years away don't come here. This is a place to learn and grow mentally and spiritually. It is in a small town also. We have some nice places to eat but no big name places. We are located under an hour away from Maryville and Knoxville though. There are plenty of places to eat and party there if that?s what you want to do. One of the best things about the college is its location near the Cherokee National Forest and The Great Smokey Mountains National Park. If you come here you will be living in one of the most beautiful areas in the Nation (in my opinion) and these areas offer many recreational activities. The college also has the best professors I?ve ever met. They will help you any way they can and do actually care about you. What you should know about the college is that we have accreditation and a new president. Our new president is doing great things here. One is particular is the pool (which is amazing) and our new president has really turned this place around. My advice to everybody that reads this is to forget about the trouble Hiwassee has had in the past and focus on where we are going now. This is a new place going in a new directions, and a place I am proud to be a part of. |
