I am currently in my second year with UIU Online. I have never taken an online course prior to this experience but attended quite a few different classes around the world, because of being in the military. The online courses are demanding, when it concerns your time and assignments. I do not understand why there are so many negative comments about this school. Did those individuals expect the school just to hand them a degree? If that is the case, I know a few schools that would be better suited to their needs. I would have to say that all of my instructors have been more than willing to help whenever contacted. They all seemed to have a legitimate concern for each student in each course. The coursework has always been very structured and requirements are known prior to the first day of class. No matter what is going on, each student has an obligation to log-in and participate 4 times a week. This requirement is not difficult at all. So, to sum up, the teachers are very helpful and interested in teaching; the coursework is expected for a college level course; the attendance requirements still allow people to work and go to school; and the online school resources are numerous. UIU online is great for those who expect to work, in order to gain the knowledge associated with their degree. |
