You can definitley get a quality education there. I happened to major and minor in two of the worst two programs there (comm/soci). So i basically learned very little. Communications progeram was a joke, i hope it has improved. SOciology was like a high school class with a incredibly out of touch with reality individual who is now retired (hope that has improved as well). I came there for sports, and thought i would be ok with everything else, I wasnt. THe conservative christian republican atmosphere is overwhelming. It is not a place for young minorities to go. You are not made to feel unwelcome in any way, but You do feel incredibly out of place. I stayed because I couldn justify leaving the college because there are not enough party people on the campus. I had fun there, as people tend to group together with others like them…but given a second chance I would have saved my cash, gone to a state school, had more fun, and left with a degree from a place people recognized when you said cause in teh end its all that matters. Going there also is a major factor in me becmoing atheist, with the disgusting hypocritical christian students/staff. |
