I have always had more guy friends than girl friends, and frankly, I can't stand girls sometimes. Having said that, I think I am starting to find a home at Mount Holyoke. Without guys around all the time, there is almost no drama or cattiness. You will meet all types of girls here- friendly, shy, outgoing, kind, funny, caring, obnoxious, socially awkward and everything in between. I decided to put myself out there and be friendly, and it payed off- I have a wonderful group of friends! When I need to meet guys, I go out to Amherst of UMass. If you go to parties, you will meet very attractive drunk guys which can be fun sometimes, but you can also go do your work or study at the Amherst or UMass libraries and meet more kind, sober men. Although there are rarely parties on campus- it is SO LOVELY to come home to a quiet, clean, respectful, and friendly place. I never take it for granted! You will find a niche for yourself here if you keep a positive attitude and a friendly spirit. Good luck! |
