Went to SB and was on a varsity team. Here's the honest truth: BIGGEST PLUSSES: big campus, great reputation, great price, great selection of majors.BIGGEST MINUSES: need more off campus housing that is in proximity; need more late night social life; need kids to stay on campus for wkds; need more school spirit; need to do more campus recruiting and career guidance. They need to start building tradition and having school events that kids care about.AVERAGE: most facilities are average. The food was better than most public universities. Dorms adequate, improving. All this talk about class size is understandable at a U with 25k kids, however, i NEVER had a class with more than 80 students. The most important achievement to report over the last 10 years is how much better the campus looks- and also- how much money has been pumped into athletics and how much better its done for the U. Also important are all the new facilities that have been built recently. |
