The campus is beautiful but thats where it stops. Its hard to find people in departments who know what they are talking about. Two different people will give you 2 different answers but not always the right ones. But I heard they fired alot of people in the last year so maybe thats why. This school uses mostly part time faculty who work at other jobs and come to Dowling to teach their classes. They don't hold formal office hours so unless you come to class early or stay late, its hard to talk to your teacher if you have questions. Even then some of them have other commitments and can't give you much time. Some of the part time teachers I had didn't even hold class for the full time. One held class for less than half the period. So you spend a lot of money to come here but don't get what you pay for. They also come to class late because they come from other jobs. Seems like they have this job for the money and the student suffers. The computer programs tend to be outdated and most of the computer equipment is old and the resources are of the minimum. I wasted alot of money here. I will be going to a different school next fall. I am doing alot of research online before choosing a college. Dont take the word of the college or their advertising.
