I was drawn to SU for the campus size (about 7,000) and the campus is absolutely beautiful. It seems like the university is always building and doing renovations and the campus is definitely growing. Also, the food at SU is really good for a college. There are plenty of options and accomodate to vegeterians/vegans. There are some downsides though, a lot of the girls I met at SU were snobby and cliquey. You definitely need to join a sports team or club to make friends. Night life is pretty good if you are into the party scene. SU students definitely party hard. If you dont know many upperclassmen you find yourself going to the same frat party every weekend and they definitely get old after awhile and they almost always get busted (the Salisbury cops are pretty strict). A lot of the parties in the zoos are fun but you usually need to know someone to be invited. Also, ALWAYS WALK WITH FRIENDS…the campus is safe but the city of salisbury is not. You learn which streets not to walk on (state named streets) but I also know a couple people who were mugged or assalted walking back from parties on the "safer" streets. I would suggest looking elsewhere but thats just me. |
