They will screw up your classes and you'll find yourself taking classes YOU DIDN'T NEED! Horrible advice, class advisor doesn't read emails and before you know it, you're taking a class blowing a grand on something you didn't need for the degree!!! Not just me, others, too (OK 3 others, but 1 is too many)! The reason? Unread emails, unread transcripts. One guy took a class he already took (why didn't he speak, why didn't they notice)? You will find MANY students in this region do NOT have command of their own native language. I have never encountered this at other universities or even community colleges. This is unique to this part of the country. Read reviews here and you'll see many don't have a handle on the language of the land (not ebonics; that's everywhere—all races have issues with American dialect English here)! I graduated last year and I can honestly say with a straight face that I did not learn a single new thing that will help me. The BSN program is just a scam of busywork some idiot created we ALL already had in our original program. I also can attest to the fact there IS favoritism (luckily I was on the recipient-side) but this is unfair to those not on the bad end of favoritism/racism/ageism. Perhaps it's the grammar and spelling (basic grade school stuff) that turns them on you, I don't know (but if you write a paper or participate in online class content, learn your own language or pay in grades)!I can also say, being on the receiving end, I did not earn the grades I made, nor did I deserve them. I agree classes were either bonehead easy (busywork guaranteed A) or incredibly difficult. This is unfortunate, because if they cleaned out administration, this place would have a lot of potential. |
