I love the professors in the Political Science department, and have enjoyed most of the other ones I have encountered as well. Pros:1.)The Poli Sci profs are very well connected in D.C. circles.2.) The academics are challenging, and for the most part, very useful.3.) The campus is downright gorgeous, except for when it rains (which, unfortunately, is a common occurrence). 4.) Many of the students are friendly, genuine people. 5.) The Career Services Department is top of the line. 6.) There are a ton of groups to be a part of on campus. Cons1.) There is absolutely nothing to do in the town of Grove City.2.) Campus Safety is unnecessarily intrusive and power hungry. The campus is safe, but that is not the result of the work they do. 3.) There is a certain level of legalism that seems to be a defining feature of the school. 4.) The food is mediocre, and seems to be getting worse.5.) The Library is the second-creepiest place on campus, behind… the Campus Safety lair in the basement of Crawford! 6.) The school seems to pride itself on its absurdly bureaucratic method of administration (for instance, not being able to pay for new computer parts in the TLC). |
