Playboy ranked CU as the #1 top party college in the nation and no matter how much you deny the validity of this source, it is right on the money. I like to party but it's not my life and it gets old after a while. On mondays, you'll hear conversations between students on campus about how many shots they took or rails they snorted. It's very hard to make friends with students because the class sizes are incredibly huge and if you're not all about "ragin' your face off" at dubstep concerts or if your parents are not filthy rich, then you'll feel very alone up here. On the other hand, once you progress further into your major, I assume your classes will be intellectually stimulating. I'm stuck in cores because I'm doing psychology but at least the professors take academics seriously.Don't make your final decision to come here based on the campus tour, do it for academic reasons because good people are hard to come by up here. |
