Your experience with Mt SAC (and any other school for that matter) will largely depend on what YOU are bringing to the table. If you are coming just to have fun, hang out, and chill, prepare to be disappointed, because the professors will make you work (surprise!) - and you will earn your grades… or flake out and whine like so many people. The reason so many students are dropped is actualyl out of mercy: would you rather get a real reflection of your non-existant attendance or flaky work (as in F-grade)? I came to Mt SAC looking for thorough instruction and I was ready to work; two semesters later, I would not pick another school. Mt SAC is one of the very few schools on the West Coast that offers cybersecurity classes, and it can be as fun as you allow it to be… do your part. As far as the professors, do not torment the poor people and they will be nice to you. (That said, do check out the ratemyprofessors.com site, there are a few professors that pose a bit more of a challenge as far as getting along with them goes ;-)). |
